Refined Natural

Are there any good substitutes for refined sugar in baking?
I really hate using refined sugar (mainly health reasons), but I've heard raw sugar is bad for baking. Are there any companies that make a raw sugar product that's better for baking?? Or if anyone has tried using something like agave nectar?
I'm really looking for something natural - not an artificial sweetener.
Thanks so much!!
raw sugar or honey, it all effects the body the same way.
You are not gaining anything by using other products.
sugar is natural too but needs to be processed from the cane or beets so it looks like the end result.
The only difference is sugar in the raw still has the beet or cane flavor left and micro nutrients. I suppose it is the flavor that effects baking results.
In fact, my research tells me that raw sugar has 20 calories in a teaspoon and regular refined sugar has 15 calories.
