Info on the Bottle of Souls?
Hi,
So I've been looking around to the mythology of ancient soul bottles (bottles where the souls of people passed are supposedly to be stored). This is seen in many different religions, ancient and modern, but unfortunately, all I can seem to get on Google Search is something about some video game that includes bottling people's souls. Very limited information. It's for a HSC Visual Arts course (Australia), and I need to provide a wide range of research and ideas.
I was wondering if anyone knew of the myths and info on historical bottles of souls (especially in China, Korea and other Asian countries), from your own knowledge, links you've found or anything. It's much appreciated. 
I have only ever read of practitioners of Voudoun putting souls in bottles as part of their funerary rites. I am not a practitioner myself, so I can only tell you what I remember from my reading. Sadly, the religion is so sensationalized that I'm not finding any links to anything but magic (best link I could find is below) and make believe props. From what I remember in my readings though, when someone dies, part of the spirit does not leave earth for a year after the person dies and so the Voudoun priest places their spirit in a bottle for safe keeping and releases it a year later. This has to do with the two parts of the soul, the ti-bon-ange (little good angel) and gros-bon-ange (great good angel).
